I'm back...but as Mrs Y!

Oh my poor little blog. I have neglected you! I am actually back now as all the drama is done. Yes, that's right, I'm now Mrs Y.

I was a little stressed in the week leading up to the wedding. Brisbane suffered torrential rain and our backyard and house (as well as our ceremony location) flooded. When we got up the coast to our wedding venue, all worries subsided when I saw the absolutely perfect weather.

Friday was probably in my top 5 all time favourite days ever (the wedding day would be my number 1 of course!). Everyone was relaxed (may have had something to do with the beer and wine flowing) and having fun setting up our reception room together. My mum, dad, sister K (my MOH), her boyfriend T, my other bridesmaid C, and her husband K (our photographer) all came to help set up and arrange the flowers and it was so much fun.

After setting everything up, we had our ceremony rehearsal and then a big dinner for everyone who was staying at the resort. This was also a great idea as everyone said they felt included, and that it set the scene for the type of wedding we were having.

Saturday, my wedding day, dawned even more perfect than the day before. G and I stayed together the night before the wedding and I think it was another perfect decision for us. It helped me from feeling stressed and allowed us to see our reception room one last time over breakfast, before going our separate ways.

The day really did fly by. I couldn't believe how quickly it went. One minute I was having my hair and makeup done, then I was about to walk up the aisle, then I was officially Mrs Y. There were a few little things that didn't go well (our venue served Cajun potatoes after I specifically asked them not to as I'm allergic to pepper and my SIL is allergic to chilli. They served the entrees before we even got there...and we were running early. They also didn't collect some of our things from the beach when we went to have photos after promising they would. The result? Our toasting glasses from the ceremony, along with the wine, candles and baskets were stolen. The music man, G's boss, also took it upon himself to just play whatever music he wanted, resulting in songs being changed while people were dancing). Did it matter? No, because at the end of the day I was married to G.

The best things?
- our DIY photobooth
G and I with his family

- our lolly bar (I really hope our photographer got a photo of the mad rush!)
More photos of this coming soon.

- finally being married to G :)
